EQL Catalyst Beta 1.4

This release brings the recent quest, Gear and Pet refinements together and adds optional application updates.

• Updates: opt in to weekly checks and prepared downloads from GitHub Releases. A verified update appears immediately to the right of Settings; choose when to update and restart. Manual checks and disabling automatic updates remain available. Installer and portable copies are supported.
• Progress: By item / Tracked / All now sit right-aligned beside the Quest/Item label above its selector. Collapse all / Expand all toggles before More. Quest-related inventory browsing, sliding reward facts, Queue toggles and compact acquisition sources make details easier to follow.
• Gear and Pets: live inventory/rank refreshes, corrected ranked weapon evidence and replacement baselines, persistent Pet slot effects/Dual wield planning, repaired item discovery, readable preference arithmetic and compact layouts.
• Appearance and interaction: preserved themes, tooltip preferences, cascading pane/column resizing and visible grips.

Beta 1.1 users: install Beta 1.4 manually once to obtain the updater. Automatic checking starts off. Interrupted downloads can be retried with Check for updates. Packages are unsigned; Windows may warn or block execution. Do not disable security protections.

Installation preserves existing profiles and capture opt-ins. Uninstall retains character data. All-users installation requests elevation; per-user installation is the default. Missing or disputed mechanics remain Unknown/Conditional; preference points are not predicted DPS.

See the attached checksums, SBOM, security summary and Windows validation report. Paid signing and live-game/physical-DPI acceptance are separate. Source is GPL-3.0-only, with third-party notices and EQLWiki attribution retained.

Beta 1.1

A usability and reliability update to the first public beta.

• Tables and workspace panes now resize with nearest-first cascading, visible handles, stable widths and full-value tooltips.
• Selected tabs no longer acquire hover dashes when their content or dropdowns are used.
• Tracker gains a right-aligned character/server selector that switches the whole app while protecting unsaved Theorycraft work.
• Gear expansion selections use a title, compact summaries and full single-expansion names.
• Item and Effect inspectors use the available width without redundant outer padding.
• Appearance gains alphabetical visual Damage emblem and Tab style dropdowns, larger selected previews, and a meter example beneath its selector.
• Idle cutoff offers presets and an explicit Custom field. Display setup and Hotkeys remain expanded; all three overlay shortcuts can be customized with conflict-safe registration.
• Shadowman now uses balanced near-black/charcoal surfaces while retaining semantic colors and transparency.

Existing profiles, inventories and saved builds remain compatible. Capture shortcuts stay separately configured in Native controls; automatic capture remains opt-in.

Installation

Use the Windows x64 installer, portable ZIP, or matching source archive below. Close the app normally and resolve any unsaved-work prompt before updating. Profiles remain under %LOCALAPPDATA%\EQLTracker and survive upgrades/uninstall. The installer is unsigned; Windows may warn or block it under local policy. Verify SHA-256 checksums and respect local policy.

Validation

707 local core regressions, 72 focused WPF checks and 79 component renders passed. Fresh privacy, Trivy, Gitleaks and supplemented-SBOM Grype checks found no blocking findings. The included Windows validation and security summary identify the released artifacts. Physical DPI and live-game input/capture acceptance remain separate.

Successful Windows build and attestation: 707 hosted Windows regressions and 1,032 installer assertions passed. The installer remains unsigned.

EQL Catalyst Beta 1.0

First public EQL Catalyst Beta 1.0 for Windows x64.

A local-first EverQuest Legends companion with DPS/healing overlays, Combat Lab, sessions/history/exports, Group/Raid contributions, quest planning, Gear/Pet builds, Exaltations, Theorycraft, and Coldain/Sunstrider/Shadowman themes.

• Setup EXE: recommended per-user wizard; optional all-users installation.
• Portable ZIP: extract the complete application folder.
• Source ZIP: matching maintained GPL-3.0-only source.
• SHA256SUMS.txt: verify downloads before running them.
• sbom.cdx.json / SECURITY-SUMMARY.md / windows-validation.json: dependency inventory, scan coverage and exact-artifact validation.

The app includes its .NET runtime. First launch supports game-folder/character discovery and offline entry. Profiles stay in %LOCALAPPDATA%\EQLTracker and survive uninstall. Installation creates no game hotkeys or capture opt-ins.

Unsigned beta: Windows may warn or block this build under local policy. Do not disable security protections. GitHub build attestations establish provenance, not Windows publisher signing.

Validation

• 671 core regressions pass locally and on Windows CI.
• 24 installer behavior/cancellation checks and 1,006 installed-file hash checks pass.
• Trivy, Grype and Gitleaks reported no confirmed vulnerabilities or secrets in the reviewed release inputs; see the security summary for scope and narrow false-positive dispositions.
• Privacy audits pass for source, runtime and release archives. Screenshots and parser fixtures are synthetic.
• Exact CI installer attestation verified before publication.

Physical-monitor DPI and live-game input/capture acceptance remain pending. Disputed mechanics and missing evidence remain qualified. Class Loadout comparison is in development; preference scores are not predicted DPS.
