TaskRunner 0.9.7 — Windows + Linux Beta

Native packages are available for Windows x64 and Linux x64.

  • Linux includes a Debian/Ubuntu .deb installer and a portable AppImage.
  • Private / Trusted LAN and Public controls now work on Linux through NetworkManager. When UFW or firewalld is active, TaskRunner changes only its TCP ports for private local subnets.
  • Linux browser and network-settings buttons now open through native desktop tools.
  • Includes QR generation from current handoff drafts, shareable Pocket-session URLs, retained diagnostic logs, improved AI task planning, companions, themes, alarms, calendar controls, and the earlier v0.9.7 fixes.

Linux validation: built on Ubuntu 22.04; network helper tested under Debian 12; .deb installed through APT; runtime libraries checked with ldd; AppImage smoke launched under Xvfb.

Linux install:

sudo apt install ./TaskRunner_0.9.7_amd64.deb

Portable AppImage:

chmod +x TaskRunner_0.9.7_amd64.AppImage
./TaskRunner_0.9.7_amd64.AppImage

The packages are unsigned beta builds. Verify the SHA-256 file before installing.
