Version 1.4.0 — 2025-06-03

New Features & Changes

  • Comskip Integration

    • Compiled and installed Comskip (latest GitHub source) on Ubuntu 25.04.
    • Bundled libargtable2-0 to satisfy Comskip’s runtime dependency.
    • Added COMSKIP_ARGS environment variable to customize Comskip CLI flags.

  • Dockerfile Updates

    • Based on ubuntu:25.04 to deliver FFmpeg 7.1.1.
    • Added apt-get update --allow-releaseinfo-change --fix-missing to handle shifting repos.
    • Installed FFmpeg, Git, build tools, and Comskip build-time dependencies (libargtable2-dev, libswscale-dev, etc.).
    • Purged build-only packages after make install to minimize final image size.

  • docker-compose.yml Updates

    • Defined uhf-server service, including:

      • Mounted volumes: /recordings and /var/lib/uhf-server.
      • Port mapping: ${PORT}:8080.
      • Environment variable loading from .env.
      • Healthcheck pointing to /server/stats.

  • .env Template

    • Updated .env.example with all required variables: PORT, HOST_RECORDINGS_DIR, HOST_UHF_DATA_DIR, TZ, and COMSKIP_ARGS.

  • General Improvements

    • Consolidated every UHF dependency into a single Dockerfile.
    • Ensured Comskip runs automatically as part of UHF’s post-recording workflow.
    • Verified healthcheck and basic smoke tests to confirm end-to-end functionality.
