  • Supports Visual Studio 2022 and Visual Studio 2026 (x64 and Arm64). Visual Studio 2015-2019: use 1.1.2.
  • Includes the unreleased 1.1.3 changes: Visual Studio 2022 support and AnkhSVN 2019 (@joe-kr).
  • New: Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC), from .sln/.slnx bindings or a local workspace (based on work by @davideciarmiello).
  • New: Tools > Detect Source Control Provider, to switch on demand (#7).
  • New: custom marker=providerGuid rules for any other source control provider (checked before the built-in ones).
  • New options: automatic switching, status bar notifications, logging, parent folder search,
TFVC binding detection, Perforce detection and timeout. Provider choices now have readable names.
  • Git worktrees and submodules (.git file) and Open Folder are detected.
  • Perforce detection runs in the background, only when p4.exe is installed, with a timeout; it uses
'p4 -s where' and no longer trusts the exit code alone.
  • Applying Tools > Options re-evaluates the open solution only when a setting that affects switching changed.
  • Diagnostics moved to an Output window pane and the activity log (no more Error List warnings).
  • The VSIX no longer bundles Visual Studio assemblies (12.9 MB -> a few KB).
  • Removed clients that are no longer maintained: Easy Git Integration Tools / Git Source Control Provider,
    VisualHG, VSHG, HgSccPackage (Mercurial support).
  • Solution migrated to .slnx; unit tests added.
  • Icon redrawn from the vector logo; Getting Started link in the extension details.
  • Extension description localized in Italian, French and German (shown in Manage Extensions).
  • The strong-name key (Key.snk) is now in the repository, so every build has the same assembly identity.
  • Builds, tests and releases run on GitHub Actions (CI on every push and pull request; a vX.Y.Z tag publishes
    to the Marketplace).
