eidolons v4.3.0
Minor: model-tier wiring now applies to Cursor. When the CLI writes/updates .cursor/agents/<member>.md files, it emits the model: field resolved from the member's tier and the active profile, the same way it already does for Claude Code and Codex.
Added
-
roster/model-profiles.yaml: newcursorprofile selecting the best model for each tier across all vendors Cursor offers. IDs checked against Cursor's model catalog on 2026-09-28:Tier Model Why chosen Runner-up light gemini-3.8-flashFlash model optimized for speed; full Agent/Thinking/Images capabilities gpt-5.6-lunastandard composer-2.5Cursor's own model; no special plan requirements; full capabilities; best integration gpt-5.6-terradeep claude-fable-5-1Premium reasoning model (~2.5x Opus cost); strongest for high-stakes work claude-opus-5-5 -
cli/tests/model_wiring.bats: comprehensive test coverage for Cursor model wiring (tier→model, fallback profile selection, idempotency, profile change, drift handling).
Changed
cli/src/lib_model_wiring.sh: Cursor host now wires.cursor/agents/<id>.mdwith sentinel-guardedmodel:field using the same YAML frontmatter patching as Claude Code. Copilot and OpenCode remain explicit no-ops with updated comments explaining the skip (slug format/syntax differences are untested).schemas/model-profiles.schema.json:applies_to_hostsenum now includescursor.docs/model.md: updated host behavior documentation; Cursor is now a first-class wired host with tier selection rationale.
Notes
- Cursor model field: accepts
inherit(default), specific model IDs, or IDs with parameters (e.g.claude-fable-5-1[effort=high]). See Cursor subagent docs for syntax. - Agent file precedence: when multiple directories exist (
.cursor/,.claude/,.codex/),.cursor/takes precedence for name conflicts. - Copilot: supports a
modelproperty in.agent.mdfiles but the slug format varies between VS Code and CLI surfaces. Left as no-op. - OpenCode: uses
provider/model-id#variantformat that differs from other hosts. Left as no-op.
