Beta 2 is a bug-fix and usability update based on feedback from the first public beta.

Changes:

  • Added a Space key to text entry.
  • Unified all on-screen keyboards into the same rectangular layout.
  • Added a helpful OnionOS time-sync message when an incorrect device clock causes HTTPS certificate verification to fail.
  • Improved rendering of common Western-European accented characters.
  • Fixed UTF-8-safe title truncation so multi-byte characters are not cut in half.
  • Fixed escaped JSON metadata such as \u0026 appearing literally in genres instead of displaying as &.
  • Added automatic library-cache upgrading. Existing Beta 1 caches remain usable immediately and refresh in the background when online, without clearing sessions, downloads, or artwork.
  • Fixed a startup edge case where a missing/invalid library cache combined with a fresh sync timestamp could prevent a new fetch.

Existing Beta 1 users can install this release over their existing MiyooFin folder. Their saved login, downloads, artwork, and other user data are preserved.
