FMW - DoSD only updates the save/load UI upon game startup or using the in-game save function for a single file. If you have an active game session running, using the tool to edit and save a new file will not update the save slots UI until the game is restarted.
However, even if the updated file is not shown/updated in a given save slot, you can still load all updated data from that save slot. It's only the UI that doesn't update; internally, the saves already exist and are updated regardless of the appearance. By utilizing this info, you can edit and load your saves without needing to restart the active game session.
As of 1.0.0, this feature is not yet supported. The Steam/Switch versions changed the way team names were structured. Previously, the Doujin PC Release displayed default team names by fetching the full team name text in Data_PairName. You could also set custom team names for various pairs, and these custom names would be recorded in the save file format for future reference.
The Switch release removed the ability to set custom team names, and changed the reference method used for fetching team names. Now, instead of referencing the full text, a numerical index is used to track whether the current displayed team name should be the 1st or 2nd default team name in Data_PairName. As a reult, this new logic crashes the vanilla Switch/Steam versions if any custom team names were to be imported over. The previous custom team names existing as text are no longer compatible now that the game expects numerical indices instead.
Due to this, the custom team name feature will require injected code to handle the legacy team name text structure, so the feature will only be available on modded versions of the game in the future.
There have been recent fan-translation projects that aim to translate the Switch/Steam releases into other languages. The save manager natively works with the English/Japanese versions as it has been built with those versions in mind, preserving the current save format of DoSD used throughout all compatible versions.
Thus, as long as those fan-translations do not modify the existing save file structure of the official ENG/JPN releases, this save manager will work for those translations.
