Michelle is a student who often works on animations in short bursts between classes. She doesn’t always have time to finish a project in one sitting, but she still wants to capture half-formed ideas as its part of her creative process. Right now, she either leaves Blender files scattered across her desktop with names like “idea1.blend” or risks overwriting something important. With Draft Mode, Michelle can checkpoint her scene with a click inside Blender, add a quick note like “space skit idea,” and trust that it’s saved safely without creating multiple gigabyte-sized duplicates. Later, she can browse all her Drafts visually, pick the one she wants, and promote it into a Work-in-Progress version. This makes her workflow less stressful and keeps her creativity organized.

Michelle often reuses her mascot character, props, or environments across different animations, but finding the right version is an issue she faces. She keeps multiple copies saved with names like “mascot_final.blend”, “mascot_fixed.blend”, or “mascot_new_rig.blend”, and sometimes forgets which one is actually the best rigged version. To bring an old asset into a new project, she usually has to open huge files, copy objects manually, and hope textures don’t break in the process. With an integrated My Assets tab inside Blender, Michelle could see thumbnails of her saved characters and props, check notes like “rig weights fixed”, and import the correct version with a single click. This would let her spend less time digging through folders and more time animating.
