This is an overview of the design of the chat page.

Navigation

To get to the screen, tap the Chat button at the bottom of the app.

Base Screen

This is where you can find all of your conversations. A chat will show a notification bubble if you have any unread messages. Tap a chat to open the conversation with that user.

Conversation Screen

Here, you can view and continue your conversation with another user.

Top Bar

At the top of the screen, there is a card that features the name and profile picture of the user you are currently talking to, as well as their current activity status.

Chat Body

Next, is the body of the chat. This shows all active and past messages between you and the other user. Here you'll notice there is a little panda icon with a description under the first image in the chat. This is because it is a reply to prompt that someone has put on their profile. In this example, our user Jacob has replied to one of Preston's prompts on his profile (See Discovery). This initiated the conversation, and after some back and forth both users were able to exchange game information.

Bottom Bar

Finally at the bottom of the screen is message input. Users can send messages and share media such as images, gifs, and much more. This can be achieved by pressing the green + symbol next to the message input. From there you can decide what kind of media to attach to a message.
