v0.15.0 ships reusable agent profiles for collapsing manifest
prompt boilerplate and a headless-dispatch hook filter for the
operator-environment leak that was polluting worker output. Alongside
those features, the release closes out the worker-failure-diagnostic
chain (#475): force-kill paths now leave a terminate_reason
audit-trail, killed actors surface their real token cost, and the
stream-JSON failure-excerpt path catches every mid-event truncation
shape we've seen in the wild. macOS+Podman container dispatch picks
up two more hardening fixes — TCP forward for the control bridge and
auto-injected XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/tmp to dodge the virtiofs+AF_UNIX
bind() trap.
Highlights:
[[agent_profile]] — declare role-shared system-prompt preludes
- env/model/tools defaults at the manifest level. Three built-ins
ship bundled (pitboss/lead-opus, pitboss/sublead-sonnet,
pitboss/worker-haiku); manifest-declared profiles can shadow them
by id. Bound to [[worker_type]] / [[sublead_type]] via a new
agent_profile = "<id>" field. Operator config always wins over
profile defaults — profiles are default-providers, not overrides.
Inspect via pitboss schema --format=agent-profiles [--manifest <path>].
[run].claude_setting_sources — operator-controlled
pass-through of claude-code's --setting-sources flag (subset of
user, project, local). Lets headless dispatch filter out
user-scope SessionStart hooks and project-checked-in defaults so
workers run on the manifest contract alone, not the operator's
interactive-session decoration.- Killed-actor diagnostic chain —
terminate_reason now
attributed for every force-kill path (#548); killed actors surface
their real token cost via the AssistantUsage fallback when the
stream ended without a Result event (#549); failure-excerpt path
marks every mid-event truncation shape (#547, #554) so a killed
worker's failure_reason is never just "unknown" anymore.
