Replay

Replay is Orchard's listening statistics, computed entirely on your machine from your own play history.

What it shows

• Top tracks, artists, and albums
• Total listening time
• Daily activity

Three periods are available: week (last 7 days), month (last 30 days, the default), and all time.

How it works

Orchard records a Replay event when a track plays, storing a snapshot of the track (id, title, artist list, album, artwork, duration) alongside the timestamp. Statistics are derived from those events on demand.

Events live in renderer local storage under orchard:replay-events, capped at 1500 events. Past that, the oldest events are dropped. All-time statistics are therefore all-time within that window rather than literally forever.

Storing a snapshot per event, rather than only a track id, means Replay keeps working for tracks that later become unavailable in the catalog.

Privacy

Replay never leaves your machine. It is computed from local events, and it has nothing to do with your YouTube account history or with Last.fm.

Two related but separate features exist:

• Send listening history to YouTube (on by default) updates your YouTube account history. Turn it off in Settings → Integrations.
• Last.fm scrobbling sends plays to Last.fm, and requires you to authorize it. See Integrations.

Neither one feeds Replay, and disabling both leaves Replay fully working.

Resetting

Clearing Orchard's application data clears Replay along with everything else. The backup and restore tools in settings export and import it with the rest of your local state.
