Lucent 1.5.0
GRAPHICS Rendering Engine Replacement for 26.2
- The existing
OpenGL-onlyNanoVGrendering pipeline has been completely replaced withSkia. - The graphics settings now support both
OpenGLandVulkan.
Skia is a much heavier library than NanoVG, but it completely resolves issues related to memory leaks and overhead. Performance concerns have also been addressed by introducing a caching system and adjusting computational complexity.
Another advantage of Skia is its rendering quality. When fonts are scaled down, NanoVG could cause text to become blurry and lose color clarity, while Skia handles scaling much more cleanly. Overall, Skia also provides better rendering quality than NanoVG.
Fully replacing NanoVG with Skia while preserving the existing NanoVG-based structure was a very large and complex task. This implementation is still in its early stages and may be unstable.
New Features
- Added the
Notificationutility class.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where
HUD Configdata was not being saved and loaded correctly. - Fixed an issue where
Profiledata was not being properly deleted, causing it to become corrupted.
