SIMple implements several features that hopefully makes using the system easy for non-technical users.

Visual Indicators

Both the buttons on the Summary page, and the item rows on the Inventory page, will turn different colors based on stock level.

There is also an icon that appears to indicate when an item that is low has been reordered.

Quick Take/Quick Restock

The "Quick Take" system, which allows the user to quickly take pre-defined amounts of product, either by using the buttons or by scanning the item's UPC. The pre-defined amounts are stored using in the item's "Quick Take" field, which are set at item creation.

If the item comes in pre-defined quantities, it is recommended that the "Restock" field of the items is set to that quantity so that the new inventory can be added with a single click when the order arrives.

Planned Features

Cost of Inventory

Eventually it would be nice to have a way to retrieve "price of inventory", where all the item's Purchase Costs are sorted by location or category, to see how how much the on-hand inventory is worth. This could be coupled with the Sale Price to see if the inventory will break even.
