This release makes the atlas's executable lever crosswalk, GDP regression, eta, uncertainty, source datasets, and known limitations directly inspectable in both the HTML atlas and print ebook.

Highlights

• Nine dedicated lever records expose global annual capital exclusions, source variables, thresholds, proxy choices, and caveats.
• Defines the NCM Isolated Entity as the focal country-year analytical unit, not a V-Dem field or a claim that countries are causally isolated.
• Discloses proxy reuse in the released component data: levers 3 and 6 use v2clkill; levers 4 and 7 use v2xcl_acjst.
• Reports the canonical population-weighted model: n=187, eta=0.305, robust p=0.00568, weighted R2=0.252, with the operational coefficient rounded to 0.30.
• Separates the strong cross-sectional GDP-level association from the non-significant 2023-2024 current-US$ growth check (R2=0.004, p=0.207).
• Adds official V-Dem and World Bank WDI guidance, distinguishing the published Full+Others v15 score source from the current v16 update workflow and documenting the missing source checksum as a replication boundary.
• Updates the Eurozone report and embeds its 27 pages after nation profiles and before evidence/data pages.
• Regenerated the complete 278-page ebook; page 8 retains the $15.87T global total.

The release intentionally contains only RTLDI_ATLAS_2026_ebook.pdf. The standalone modular and Eurozone PDFs remain reproducible repository build artifacts, not release attachments.

This release brings the print atlas, web atlas, interactive map, full data view, and linked-data export into one cohesive information-design language while preserving the canonical single data pipeline.

Highlights

• Redesigned print nation pages with stronger country identity, RTLP score badges, nine-lever status strips, cleaner metric hierarchy, and refreshed country-map styling.
• Updated global, regional, and country choropleths with the shared RTLDI atlas R scale, softer ocean and land context, graticules, stronger boundary hierarchy, and small-state locator notes.
• Improved the HTML atlas landing page and Full Data View so they share the same atlas visual language.
• Full Data View now places RTLP in the second column and keeps country names linked directly to the interactive country viewer.
• Interactive map now opens country panels directly from ?country=ISO3, ?iso3=ISO3, or #ISO3.
• RDF/XML linked open data export remains published at outputs/html-atlas/rtldi_atlas_2026.rdf and linked from the HTML pages.

Verification

• Full print atlas regenerated successfully: 237 pages.
• Nation profile section regenerated successfully: 194 pages.
• Full Data View contains 193 nation rows and 193 country links.

RTLDI Atlas of UN Member States v2026.8.2 — Eurozone Report

Highlights

This release adds a focused RTLDI 2026 Eurozone Capital Exclusion Map alongside the main UN member-state atlas.

Eurozone report

• Adds RTLDI_EUROZONE_CAPITAL_EXCLUSION_MAP_2026.pdf.
• Adds Eurozone CSV and summary JSON outputs to the repository.
• Scope: 21 euro-area member states as of 2026, including Bulgaria from January 1, 2026.
• Uses the canonical global atlas model: eta = 0.30 with the 25% contextual cap.
• Current Eurozone capital exclusions total: approximately $887.1B annually.

RTLDI Atlas of UN Member States v2026.8.1 — France Map Geometry Fix

Patch release

This patch release updates the atlas map artifacts after fixing France geometry in the Plotly choropleths.

Fixed

• France no longer appears as a colored territory in South America on the global interactive map.
• Western Europe, France-only, and Eurozone fitted map views now stay framed in Europe instead of being distorted by French Guiana.
• The print atlas PDF and HTML atlas map bundle have been regenerated from the corrected map generator.

RTLDI Atlas of UN Member States v2026.8 — Redesigned Web and PDF

Highlights

This release refreshes the RTLDI Atlas presentation across print, HTML, and the interactive map.

Print atlas redesign

• Reworked the PDF visual system with a cleaner cover, stronger page hierarchy, metric cards, refined section labels, and improved headers/footers.
• Improved regional summary pages with clearer metric bands, better map/text balance, capital-exclusion sorting, and scannable lever bars.
• Refined nation profile pages and fixed country map aspect ratios so national maps render cleanly.
• Regenerated the full 237-page RTLDI_ATLAS_2026_ebook.pdf and all modular PDF parts.

HTML atlas refinement

• Rebuilt the HTML atlas into a cleaner light analytical interface.
• Improved global metrics, lever breakdowns, regional summary blocks, member tables, and controls.
• Removed stale dark-theme logic and made the web atlas more consistent with the redesigned print edition.

Interactive map explorer

• Upgraded the global interactive map from hover-only exploration to click-driven national detail.
• Clicking a country now loads national data below the map: R score, region, data vintages, capital exclusions, per-capita exclusions, G0, population, nine-lever status, raw values, thresholds, and regional comparisons.
• Added robust static-export fallback so local Kaleido failures no longer block interactive HTML generation.

GitHub Pages landing

• Added a root index.html that opens the generated HTML atlas directly.
• Added .nojekyll so GitHub Pages serves the static atlas assets as-is.
• Documented the Pages setup in the README.
