ESP32-C3 DVB-S/DVB-S2 transmitter with a desktop GUI.

  • QPSK, 8PSK and 16APSK: 33–1000 kS/s. 32APSK: 33–250 kS/s.
  • Video file, ready TS, TS URL and V4L2 camera inputs.
  • Clickable QO-100 channels, relative dB level and editable service name/provider.
  • External PA enable on GPIO3; low when stopped or the USB stream is lost.
  • GUI defaults: W1, 2403.750 MHz, 0 dB, DVB-S2 8PSK at 1 MS/s.

Downloads

  • firmware.zip: bootloader, partition table, application and flash.sh. ESP32-C3 revision 0.3 or newer, 4 MB flash; built with the ESP-IDF 6.2.0 checkout 25fe69f9.
  • host.zip: GUI/CLI, dependencies, launcher and demo video. Linux, Python 3 and FFmpeg required.
  • .bin: merged firmware image; flash at 0x0. For an application-only update, use esp32_datv.bin from the firmware ZIP at 0x10000.
  • SHA256SUMS: download checksums. Full source is available in GitHub's source archives.

After extracting the firmware ZIP:

python3 -m pip install esptool
./flash.sh /dev/ttyACM0

Replace the port with the ESP32-C3's native USB port. The merged image includes blank NVS space; use the separate files in the ZIP to retain that partition.

After extracting the host ZIP:

python3 -m venv .venv
. .venv/bin/activate
python3 -m pip install -r host/requirements-gui.txt
./uruchom_nadajnik.sh

40 host tests passed; GPIO3 enable/disable was checked on hardware. At 32APSK 33 kS/s, TX and spectrum were verified, but SDRangel video lock was not obtained. See the README for reception details and measured spectra.

License: PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0. Demo video: see media/README.md in the host ZIP.
