What's Changed

Enhancement: Improved AWS Secrets Store CSI Driver Provider Addon Configuration for Fargate Clusters

  • Updated how the aws-secrets-store-csi-driver-provider addon is provisioned when ASCP is enabled within Fargate clusters.
  • Now, if both addon_ascp_enabled and fargate_cluster are true, the addon is configured with a node affinity rule to ensure it does not schedule on Fargate nodes.
  • For non-Fargate clusters or when Fargate is disabled, the original provisioning behavior is preserved.
  • This change prevents the addon from attempting to run on Fargate nodes, which do not support required features, increasing reliability and compatibility when using EKS with Fargate profiles.
