JevPaper 0.1.0 (preview)
Pre-release
Pre-release
The first public preview of JevPaper: open an arXiv paper and see every claim in its abstract, the sentence in the body that delivers it, and the caveats worth knowing, marked right on the page in about two seconds.
Install
- Download
jev-paper-0.1.0-chrome.zipbelow and unzip it into a folder. - Open
chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and pick that folder. - Click the JevPaper icon, paste an OpenRouter key and press 「开始使用」 (Get started).
- In the guide that opens, press 「试一试」 (Try it).
Needs Chrome 128 or later. Works on arxiv.org/html/… and ar5iv pages.
In this release
- Claims (blue) and the sentence that delivers each (yellow); click to jump between them.
- Assumptions and limitations (pink) and more candidates (pale yellow), in three cumulative levels from one button.
- Continuous bands behind the text, light and dark themes, keyboard access.
- Bring your own key: OpenRouter, TypeSafe, or any System One endpoint. About one cent and two seconds per paper; each paper is computed once and cached locally.
- Measured on 12 hand-labelled papers: the delivering sentence is in the top 3 for 88% (design set) and 97% (held-out set) of claims.
Known limitations
- The interface is in Chinese for now; an English interface is on the roadmap.
- The TypeSafe preset has not yet been exercised against the live TypeSafe API; OpenRouter is the tested path.
- This is a developer-mode install; a Chrome Web Store listing is planned.
Feedback and issues are very welcome.
