Nadir 2.0.0: dark mode for every website, designed on your device.

Install: download nadir-extension.zip, unzip it, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder. Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Aside and other Chromium browsers.

What's in this release:

  • A 16M-parameter model with a palette head and a new element head. The element head decides how every image, CSS background, sprite and ::before icon is shown, including ones that load later.
  • In a blind Claude Haiku 5.5 judge on 190 held-out live pages, the judge preferred Nadir 2 to Dark Reader 126 to 56, and to Nadir 1 91 to 59.
  • Runs fully in the browser (onnxruntime-web, WASM). The 8-bit model takes about 30 ms per new site on an M4 Max.
