Skopx for macOS, Windows and Linux. The workspace, plus the two things a browser tab cannot do: your morning briefing arrives as a native notification without opening anything, and Skopx can work in a browser of its own instead of taking over the one you are using.

Assets replaced 2026-09-01. The macOS builds first published here could not be opened at all: the bundle carried no signature, so macOS reported it as damaged and offered only Move to Bin. The bundle is now signed during packaging. If you downloaded a macOS build before this date, download it again. Windows and Linux were unaffected.

What it does

  • Opens straight into your workspace and stays signed in between restarts.
  • A menu bar or tray icon, a global hotkey to summon the window, and native notifications.
  • Browser automation that drives your installed Chrome in its own profile, so it can work in the background. Publishing, sending, paying and deleting always stop for your approval, the same gate the browser extension uses.
  • Shares one task queue with the extension, so work runs on whichever is available.

Installing

These builds are signed but not yet notarized by Apple, so the first launch needs one extra step.

  • macOS: the first launch says Apple could not verify the app. Click Done, then open System Settings, go to Privacy and Security, scroll down and choose Open Anyway.
  • Windows: SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC". Choose More info, then Run anyway.
  • Linux: chmod +x Skopx_0.1.0_amd64.AppImage before running it, or install the .deb with sudo dpkg -i.

Requirements

Google Chrome must be installed for the browser automation features. Everything else works without it.

Known limits

Meeting Mode still captures browser tab audio only, not system audio. Native automation of desktop applications, local file indexing, and MCP hosting are designed but not built.
