[Tauri Android] Requests are locked if a media fetch takes longer than expected

Describe the bug

If a media download takes a long time (for example, a slow server or a slow internet connection) all requests are locked, waiting for the media request to finish first.

Reproduction

1. Download lots of stuff (like emotes) or use a slow internet connection
2. New messages lack PFPs until the media downloads catch up, even if they should be cached, and new messages stop appearing

Expected behavior

Messages appearing and media not being broken
