This update adds a more flexible initiative tracker, clearer turn reminders, and more reliable character updates. It also brings the latest official Encounter+ token effect icons into the community client.
What's new
- Put initiative where it suits your screen. Switch the initiative tracker between the right side and the bottom using its dock button. Your choice is remembered for next time.
- A reminder when it's your turn. The character selected in Settings receives a brief “Your turn” notice with the character name and round. You can dismiss it at any time.
- See active effects on the map. Tokens display their enabled status-effect icons, making conditions easier to spot during play.
Fixes and improvements
- Effect icons stay visible. Icons now appear above plain colored tokens instead of being partly hidden behind them.
- My Character stays current. The open panel refreshes when effects change, when the final effect is removed, and when you choose a different character in Settings.
- Settings stays accessible. The Settings window opens above character sheets and references, even after repeatedly switching between those windows.
- Sheets finish loading properly. Fixed cases where a sheet remained covered by its loading indicator in certain connection setups.
- Rulers follow map changes. Existing local rulers update their distances when the host changes the grid scale or settings.
- More reliable area previews. Clearing or switching previews releases their old graphics cleanly and avoids leftover drawing updates.
- Updated upstream compatibility. Includes the latest official token status-effect rendering while preserving community tools and saved preferences.
Rulers and area previews are personal planning tools in your browser. Shared measurement and area-effect creation through the host's new endpoints is planned for a future update.
