Fixes
- Invoice totals are now GST-aware and consistent. The editor footer, live preview, PDF and Word exports, saved invoices, and the dashboard all read from a single calculation path, so the figures can no longer drift apart.
- Empty line items no longer produce
NaN. Adding an item and then clearing its fields used to writeNaNinto every money field. - Dashboard revenue is correct. The all-time total now uses the same grand-total calculation as the rest of the app.
- Paid invoices stay paid. Re-saving an invoice no longer resets its status back to Pending.
- Word (.docx) export rebuilt as a genuine, editable document with real tables and a GST breakdown. Previously it produced a file Word could not open.
- PDF download restored on the desktop app, alongside the new Word export.
Improvements
- Installer is 29% smaller — 161 MB down to 116 MB. The desktop bundle was shipping renderer dependencies that Vite had already compiled into the app.
- Installer download link fixed. The website advertised
ShareMyBill-Setup-1.0.0.exe, a filename the build never actually produced, so the download button led nowhere. Build output is now pinned toShareMyBill-Setup-<version>.exeso the page and the artifact can no longer disagree. - Schema upgrades automatically. Your existing invoices are migrated in place the first time v1.0.1 opens your database. Nothing to reinstall and no data to re-enter.
Upgrading
Run the new installer over your existing install — your invoices are kept. If you'd rather start clean, uninstall first; your data lives in Documents/BillingApp/billing.db and is not removed with the app.
Notes
- Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". The app isn't code-signed yet, so click More info → Run anyway.
- Either download works: the installer for normal use, or the portable zip if you'd prefer no installation — extract it anywhere and run
ShareMyBill.exe.
