• Truer tones, refit to hardware.
• Add higher-order harmonics when pushed. Quiet clean, ~0.5% max.
• High-cut now 4 kHz.
• Knobs don't run off the screen.
• Windows installer (unsigned — SmartScreen asks once).
• Bypass stays in time. No jump, no flash, no death on bad input.

• Tested on Windows. Mac builds pass checks.

New: AU component (macOS)

auval-validated, ships in the macOS zip alongside the VST3. Install:

1. Copy Abalone-W5.component to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components (or the system location)
2. Rescan in Logic

Unsigned build — loads fine, no signing shenanigans.

Improved: T4/T5 manual retune

New hardware-fit numbers, plus a −1.5 dB staging trim on T4 restoring chart level. Tone curves regenerated in-repo.

Changed: bypass sync (one-way)

The ACTIVE button drives the DAW bypass button; host/DAW bypass still silences audio but no longer moves the ACTIVE display. Required for exact AU state recall (auval-proven). VST3 behavior otherwise unchanged.

Each Abalone-W5-<os>.zip holds the VST3 bundle + LICENSE + README.
No AU, no installer, no code signing (macOS Gatekeeper may ask for a
right-click Open on first load).
