v1.5.0 — Animated Windows cursors
Fixes #4: the busy (wait) and working (left_ptr_watch) cursors are now animated .ani files on Windows instead of static .cur — the spinner actually spins now. Same 54-frame animation and timing as the Linux cursor. Windows install.inf updated to point the Busy/Work slots at the .ani files.
Also: README restructured (Linux-first; SVG + Windows + packaging consolidated).
v1.4.0
Scalable SVG cursors (cursors_scalable/)
Both archive formats now bundle SVG cursors for KDE Plasma 6.2+ and GNOME 51+, which render cursors from vector SVG instead of Xcursor bitmaps. Works out of the box on the new compositors (GNOME only scans XDG data dirs ~/.local/share/icons, and the new installer instructions in each archive's INSTALL.txt cover both copy steps).
- 54-frame animated
wait/left_ptr_watchat 40ms nominal_size: 256matching Bibata's native SVG canvas (crisp at every scale, incl. the KDE shake-to-locate magnifier and fractional scaling)- CSS cursor names GNOME looks up (pointer, text, ew-resize, ...) mapped onto the same shapes as the bitmap fallback
Windows .cur
Unchanged — .cur themes are still built separately with just build-win.

v1.3.0 — Light theme variants
Added 28 light theme variants (e.g. Ice-Blue-Light) — same hue as each dark theme, tone-swapped per Material Design 3's actual light/dark surface logic, not a simple color inversion. Packaging now produces two separate archives (dark, light) instead of one. New build flags: --only-light, --only-dark, --exclude, plus just build-dark/build-light shortcuts.
v1.2.1 — Contrast fixes
Fixed low body/outline contrast in Noir, Charcoal, Midnight, and Brown — Midnight in particular was nearly unusable (1.36:1 contrast, now 5.25:1). All 4 now meet the same legibility bar as the rest of the set. Demo images updated to reflect the fix.
v1.2.0 — Classic colors, packaging exclude flag
Added the original Bibata-Modern-Classic colors as an extra theme. Packaging script now supports --exclude to leave specific themes out of a release. Fixed a stale link in the shipped INSTALL.txt.
v1.1.0 — Expanded cursor sizes, Violet color fix
Cursors now compiled at 19 sizes instead of 11, covering exact fractional display scaling steps (0.5x-3x) to fix blurry cursors on KDE/GNOME with fractional scaling. Also fixed Violet, which previously duplicated Soft-Blue's color.
v1.0.0 — 28 M3 tonal themes
28 Bibata cursor variants with M3-style colors: dark body, vibrant accent. See README for details.
