Initial release

After fully verifying that a couple of projects can fully build all dependencies and produce a final binary from a clean repo I'm ready to call this done.

Fixes since beta

  • Improved Windows reliability for command execution and path handling, including safer UTF-8 to UTF-16 conversion checks and consistent slash normalization.
  • Fixed parallel execution stability by improving thread startup error handling and preventing deadlock-prone command counting behavior when thread creation fails.
  • Strengthened general error handling with clearer failure messages for path creation, command conversion, and overly long script path arguments.
  • Cleaned up execution flow and output behavior, including more readable command-line option parsing and better verbose command context.
  • Applied targeted string utility correctness fixes for whitespace trimming, alphanumeric extraction, varint length decoding, and Unicode uppercase conversion.
  • Performed style and maintainability cleanup, including removal of redundant/unused tool metadata and small logic simplifications.

This update focuses on stability and correctness, especially on Windows and parallel execution, while also improving diagnostics, command-line robustness, and core string handling behavior.

Additional binaries I still need to make

  • Raspberry Pi (my memory card got full during an upgrade so will need to get a bigger one and start over)

While I am still converting my own projects to utilize the build tool I am finding occasional issues I need to fix. This is a good point for archiving a build.

See README.md for details about the release.

Summary

A build tool that replaces .bat and .sh files that generate assets and code for retro dev projects. It is intended to improve the speed of updates so a single update file can run on an entire project without taxing iteration with long build times. Full unicode support and windows/linux cross functionality
