Metadata changes now appear after the first successful save. Cache invalidation happens after the database commit, and earlier reads cannot restore stale values.

• Add the administrator-only POST /api/admin/meta/update_grid endpoint for transactional batch saves.
• Validate the whole batch before saving and roll back on database errors.
• Preserve user access lists and invalidate caches for both old and new paths.
• Bundle frontend v4.1.73, which remembers grid/list layout and sends one request for Save All.

Validation: metadata regressions and related backend race tests passed; backend and frontend builds passed; real-backend browser checks confirmed first-save visibility, batch saving, layout persistence, and retained drafts on failure.

Full-suite limitations: existing format-string vet errors, aria2 tests requiring localhost:6800, and existing frontend TypeScript errors remain outside this change.
