✨ Highlights

RimManager now keeps itself up to date: it checks for a new version when it starts, and Help ▸ Check for updates… does it on demand — updating is a couple of clicks, right inside the app. Writing load-order rules is quicker too: the rule editor's mod picker is now a search box.

Check for updates, in the Help menu

🚀 New

  • In-app updates — RimManager checks quietly on launch and tells you in the status bar when a new version exists. Update now downloads it and installs it in place; your modlists, tags and settings are untouched. Portable, macOS and Linux copies are taken to the release page instead. While you run a beta you'll be offered new betas; once you're on a stable version, you'll only ever be offered stable versions.
  • Automatic updates, if you want them — Settings ▸ Advanced ▸ Install RimManager updates automatically installs updates on launch without asking, for copies installed with the Windows Setup. Off by default.
  • Search in the rule editor — the mod picker is a search box: type a few letters instead of scrolling through hundreds of mods.

🛠️ Fixed

  • RimManager sometimes said your mod list had changed when it hadn't — it watches the game's mod-list file to notice when RimWorld changes it behind your back, and on some systems a change to any other file in that folder set off the same alert.

🔄 Changed

  • Under-the-hood maintenance — the components RimManager is built on were brought up to date.
