This is primarily a security update. Not that 1.0.0 is terribly insecure as it is an output-only service. However, 1.0.0 runs with broad privileges (LocalSystem) whereas 1.0.1 is addressing this and it runs in unprivileged mode (LocalService).
This required wiring up in the installer all the bits that can't be handled directly by the service as it doesn't have privileges to create the EventSource for Event log. Additionally, the old hack of catching power events in a hidden Windows form doesn't work under LocalService, so the service code has been implemented more cleanly. It still requires to create a hidden window for the message pump to function, but this lightweight implementation works in the context of LocalService.
Fixed the build system as the 1.0.0 x64 build is actually an x64 MSI with an x86 service as Visual Studio has been extremely helpful and it only generated "Any CPU" out of the box which produced unexpected results. This release contains both correct x86 and x64 builds.
