Welcome! This is the home for everything about using HERMES - the free desktop app that turns raw stream clips into finished YouTube Shorts.
If you just want to download and run it, the main repo page has that. This Wiki is for the how-to.
- Getting Started - install it, load your first clip, get a finished Short out the other end. Written for someone who's never opened the app before.
- The Editor In Detail - once you're comfortable with the basics, this covers every editor feature: layouts, keyframes, highlight boxes, cuts, audio, branding, and render settings. More technical, for when you want to go deeper.
Load a clip (from a file or straight from a Twitch/YouTube URL), crop and lay it out for vertical video, add highlight boxes and branding, cut out the boring parts, adjust the audio, render, and export - with a one-click hand-off to YouTube's upload page when you're done. The whole point is making that after-stream editing loop fast instead of painful.
It's free, no ads, and nothing is ever paywalled.

The Editor mid-edit. More screenshots throughout the Editor Guide below.
Found a bug or have an idea? Use the feedback/bug-report buttons in the app's About tab, or drop by Discord. If HERMES saves you time and you want to support more of it getting built, there's a Ko-fi too - completely optional, never required for anything the app does.
