Known Limitations

  • Windows presentation test modules remain excluded from the Windows release test corpus because their collection causes a fatal Qt access violation; the generated executable’s Qt smoke test remains blocking.

  • Authorized-provider acceptance, real-provider subtitle interoperability, and broad codec/enterprise-environment certification are separate runtime validations and are not claimed by the release pipeline.
  • Release authorized without populated real-provider playback acceptance because the authorized provider endpoint rejected the control-plane probe with HTTP 403 before media validation. This is an explicit release-management waiver and must not be interpreted as evidence of commercial-provider compatibility.
  • REAL PROVIDER PLAYBACK: NOT TESTED / BLOCKED. Commercial IPTV compatibility: NOT CERTIFIED. No real Xtream, MAG, M3U, or commercial-provider playback is claimed as passed.
  • Provider-neutral validation evidence: 48 focused VLC adapter tests, 66 provider/application/security tests, 885 non-presentation tests, Ruff, Black, MyPy, Bandit, git diff --check, secret/security validation, CodeQL, and Windows Portable EXE validation including bundled VLC, native VLC lifecycle, PyInstaller, packaged EXE smoke, Qt/application startup, PATH/CWD validation, artifact audit, SHA256, and artifact upload.

SamoTech IPTV Player v0.1.0

Windows x64 Portable EXE

This release provides the SamoTech IPTV Player Windows x64 portable executable. The packaged executable includes the application runtime, PySide6/Qt components, python-vlc, and the bundled VLC runtime required by the verified smoke-test path.

Users do not need a separate Python installation or VLC installation to run the portable executable. Download the executable and SHA256SUMS.txt from the release assets, then verify the checksum before running it.

The release artifact is SamoTech-IPTV-Player-Windows-x64-v0.1.0.exe. The distribution target is Windows x64 only. Installers, auto-update, ARM64 builds, universal IPTV-provider acceptance, MAG VOD/Series support, real-provider acceptance, subtitle certification, and Microsoft Store distribution are not claimed by this release.

Known limitation: Windows presentation-test collection remains excluded from the CI test corpus because of a fatal Qt access violation during test collection. The blocking Windows build still runs the non-presentation regression corpus, native VLC lifecycle validation, the actual generated-EXE packaged-VLC test, Qt/application smoke test, sanitized-PATH validation, artifact audit, checksum generation, and release publication.
