@github-actions github-actions released this 20 Oct 18:55

Video Forge0.7.1 — lean source and plugin packages

This maintenance release keeps the creative/runtime capabilities of0.7.0 while removing generated production baggage from the source checkout and install archives.

  • Generated videos, duplicate audio/source snapshots and superseded host reports remain available in immutable v0.7.0/prior releases. Git history is preserved.
  • One canonical motion helper and standalone scaffold lock generate the example copies during build.
  • Explicit distribution inventories exclude productions, caches, secrets and unlisted binary media. Packaging requires an empty output directory; release preparation rejects stale assets.
  • Lightweight CLI commands load modules on demand. Media hashing streams files with bounded memory in both rendering paths.
  • Shorter directing/editing guidance preserves progressive disclosure and distinguishes version-2 choreography from version-1 editing options.

All six host archives, maintained examples, source records and runtime checks are validated. No new model-quality claim, live Claude generation trial or paid API verification is implied. Public demonstrations: https://github.com/Sanidhya14321/video-forge/releases/tag/v0.7.0

Local before/after measurements: Codex ZIP17.94→1.53MB (about91% smaller); source ZIP83.88→1.54MB (about98% smaller); director875→648cl100k_base tokens. Lightweight help/ideas startup dropped from roughly0.47s/110MB peak RSS to0.11s/48MB in three local samples. Timing/RSS are machine-specific, not cross-host guarantees.

Video Forge0.7.0 — videos authored in code

Write and refine short-form videos directly in React/TSX, HTML/CSS, SVG, Canvas and WebGL with Claude Code or Codex. Custom composition projects now sit alongside the existing version-1 renderer.

  • init creates an ordinary editable project with pinned dependencies, local fonts, original motion helpers and a frame score. run, preview, review and preflight accept the project from outside the plugin directory.
  • Six composable motion families cover optical refraction/displacement, perspective traversal, parallax, kinetic typography, continuous transitions and rapid editorial motion. Timing comes from frames, including GSAP and shader uniforms.
  • Moving drafts preserve frame rate/timing; final profiles use native dimensions, CRF16 H.264 and AAC when present. Output includes source, assets, dependency locks, transcripts/SRT, critical frames and technical reports.
  • Rewritten direction teaches cinematic motion in code, continuity, real evidence and readable meaning across fast cuts. Mesh worlds remain optional; all scene types receive pacing inspection.
  • A24-second Video Forge film and six15-second-reel studies ship as public demonstrations with editable source. A separate22.5-second private footage benchmark is delivered locally and excluded from GitHub.
  • Original100-entry source coverage is retained, with additional pinned motion research and clear attribution boundaries.

Install the codex or claude archive for runtime hosts, standalone for compatible Agent Skills hosts, claude-skill for custom skill upload, or chatgpt for an instruction/code companion with an explicit rendering handoff. The source archive includes public demonstration media. SHA256SUMS and a release manifest cover published assets.

Validation includes45 unit/contract tests, native render/decode smoke tests, zero-strength optical regression, repeated out-of-order frame capture, all100 source records and six archive/resource checks. One independent Codex application subagent authored and rendered a fresh six-second film using an extracted package. A separate Codex CLI generation attempt hit an account limit and is incomplete. Claude CLI manifest checks pass; actual Claude generation is unverified until signed in. No live paid generation calls were made.

Creative examples are evidence of these particular productions, not a guarantee of aesthetic quality or social performance. Optical glass is an analytic shader rather than a physical fluid simulation. Private footage retains its original detail;60fps motion graphics do not recover missing camera detail.

Video Forge v0.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 20 Oct 13:57

Video Forge v0.6.0 rebuilds the skill around creative direction, asset casting and cinematography before selecting effects. It adds a genuine 3D scene foundation and practical editorial tools while preserving the original 100-entry coverage register.

Creative library

  • Original taste/critique, reference-breakdown, asset-casting, generated-shot continuity, editing-grammar, Premiere Pro and platform playbooks.
  • Twelve individually loadable shot recipes with visual argument, assets, camera, rhythm, transitions, sound, do/avoid guidance and pinned source IDs.
  • Fresh mechanism-level inspection of 11 repositories / 45 pinned files, plus 14 primary documentation/licensing pages. Full upstream applications and restricted media are not copied into the plugin.
  • Instagram, YouTube Shorts and X direction separates storytelling/composition from dated account/upload facts. More effects are not an engagement score.

Native tools

  • Real Three.js/R3F worlds through ThreeCanvas: camera position/target/FOV/roll, time-weighted path interpolation, independently keyed object transforms, lit geometry, local image planes and static self-contained GLB assets.
  • Original rounded GLB prop, vectors, procedural material/stage kit and camera-study music/SFX.
  • Camera key/midpoint previews and sampled target-clearance review; source scouting/contact sheets and one-recipe CLI loading.
  • The original 12-second 1080×1920 camera study shows traversal, assembly and detail-to-hero travel. It validates the foundation; it is not a photoreal generation or audience benchmark.

Verification and scope

39 tests, runtime/renderer type checks, all nine skill packages and all six host archives validate. Native 3D/GLB/image staging renders and decodes; a GLB/camera/image frame repeated after an out-of-order seek is byte-identical on the tested machine. Linux/macOS CI, smoke renders and verified release hashes gate publication.

Premiere Pro support is a concrete workflow/handoff guide. No live Adobe application control, .prproj serialization, skeletal animation, compressed glTF decoder, physical motion blur or depth-of-field renderer is bundled. Paid generated-video quality and independent Claude/Codex creative performance remain separately unverified. No model weights were trained.

Use the Codex/Claude Code archives, Claude custom-skill ZIP, standalone skill ZIP, ChatGPT planning companion or complete source ZIP. The new reference files and indexes are generated into each applicable host package; ChatGPT's non-runtime companion links to binary source assets instead of claiming they are bundled.

Video Forge v0.5.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 18:00

Video Forge v0.5.1 keeps an end-of-film overlay solid through the final frame, so a closing CTA does not fade back to held footage. Timing remains frame-derived and end-exclusive. Adds a regression assertion and clarifies the Codex marketplace version-pin update flow.

Includes all v0.5.0 brand-aware production tools: six animated overlay kinds, focused official screenshots, aligned pointer cues, caption layering, prepared-footage previews, and conditional editorial guidance. Nine shared skills, 33 tests and all 100 source records validate; Linux/macOS CI, native smoke renders and package checks gate publication.

The six host archives remain available for Codex, Claude Code, Claude custom skills, standalone agents, ChatGPT planning, and full source. Live account uploads, paid providers and audience performance are not claimed as tested. Private user footage and third-party brand assets are not bundled.

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 17:56

Video Forge v0.5.0 adds brand-aware motion for real footage edits: logos, animated call flows, focused website captures, illustrated cursor clicks, workflow steps and a readable closing CTA.

Production improvements

  • Six native, frame-driven overlay presets with editable timing, position, brand colors and local assets.
  • Screenshot focus/crop and pointer coordinates use shared geometry. Captions stay above full-screen overlays.
  • Prepared footage now supports entry/peak/exit preview frames; staged assets are deduplicated and renderer snapshots preserve the new modules.
  • Conditional brand-edit guidance covers audience, claims and evidence, genuine product visuals, face/caption placement, mobile reading time, audio, asset credits and privacy.
  • Reproducible comparison ZIP metadata completes deterministic packaging.

Verification and downloads

33 tests, runtime and renderer type checks, nine-skill/100-source validation, plus a native six-preset render fixture. Publication is gated on Linux/macOS CI, archive/resource validation and checksums. Existing project defaults remain compatible.

Download the Codex or Claude Code plugin ZIP, the Claude custom skill ZIP, standalone skill ZIP, or small ChatGPT planning companion. The source ZIP retains the original public demos. ChatGPT chat without a local runtime remains a planning/handoff path. Third-party branded footage is not redistributed in these archives.

Account upload/invocation, paid live providers and social audience results are recorded separately from implemented and tested local rendering. This release does not claim live product actions from animated screenshot pointers.

Video Forge v0.4.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 17:28

Video Forge v0.4.0 makes installation and production handoff clearer across Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT and Codex, while keeping one shared set of creative instructions.

Choose the right download

  • Codex: video-forge-codex-0.4.0.zip, or register the Git marketplace and install video-forge@video-forge-local.
  • Claude Code: video-forge-claude-0.4.0.zip, or install video-forge@video-forge from the Claude marketplace.
  • Claude custom skill: video-forge-claude-skill-0.4.0.zip, with root SKILL.md and self-contained resources.
  • ChatGPT chat: video-forge-chatgpt-0.4.0.zip, a small instruction/reference companion for planning and local rendering handoff. It is not a hosted renderer.
  • Other agents: standalone skill ZIP. Full source and saved demos remain in the source ZIP.

Improvements

  • Full-frame footage layout and eased, editable punch-in windows for portrait edits.
  • Nine shared skills, including setup/onboarding and a capability-aware host reference.
  • Smaller install archives omit generated demo outputs; prepared example inputs and the full 100-entry source register remain bundled.
  • Refreshed README, installation/update instructions, compatibility matrix, changelog, contribution and privacy/security guidance.
  • Releases are gated on Linux/macOS validation, all six archive/resource checks, native smoke renders and verified checksums. A draft is uploaded completely before publication.
  • Includes both contrasting 30-second reels, side-by-side MP4 and a portable comparison archive. Existing releases remain available.

Claude Code and Codex package discovery/runtime are checked locally. Claude account upload, ChatGPT account invocation, live paid providers and social audience results are not claimed as tested. See the compatibility document and validation record for scope.

Video Forge v0.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 07:46

Video Forge now includes Creative Arcade: a contrasting 30-second, 22-shot color-pop reel alongside the preserved minimal film. Bold flat colors, original character animation, comic typography, confetti, masks, scissors, clapperboards, gear locks and a pumping boombox demonstrate a different visual language. No gradients or paid generation.

  • All twelve native reel presets support separate pop choreography, palettes and energy controls, with optional pop captions. Existing jobs keep the minimal default.
  • The showcase uses Video Forge's director, planning, motion, editing, audio, captions and delivery pipeline. Original stereo music and sound effects accompany local AI narration and 70 measured caption words.
  • Includes both standalone reels, a labelled side-by-side MP4, a portable synchronized two-player comparison, editable production snapshots, credits, and Claude/Codex/standalone/source archives.
  • TypeScript and actual TSX checks, 26 tests, all twelve pop/minimal treatment smoke renders, packaged resource validation and full-stream output decoding. See docs/pop-validation.json and demos/pop-showcase/PRODUCTION.md for scope.

The comparison shows creative range; scripts, timing and music differ, so it is not a controlled engagement benchmark. Optional cloud services and the source register's reference-only integrations remain separate from tested native functionality.

Video Forge v0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 07:22

Video Forge now has a native fast-reel workflow, rather than relying on the same heading-and-card structure for every video.

  • Twelve original abstract/kinetic motion treatments with deterministic beat timing and seeded variation.
  • Directing guidance for visual language, semantic transformations, rhythm contrast, proof holds, match cuts and minimal palettes.
  • review for timing/repetition/density feedback and preview for entry/peak/exit frames without voice or paid execution.
  • Flat surfaces, protected text/caption placement, and complete editable renderer snapshots.
  • A 30-second, 20-shot monochrome demo with an original 160 BPM score, local AI narration and measured subtitles.
  • Twenty-four automated tests, actual TSX type-checking, real FFmpeg checks, host/archive validation, and a model-free treatment render in CI.

Download the Claude, Codex, standalone or complete source ZIP, then follow docs/installation.md. Releases include SHA-256 checksums. The demo MP4 shows the new workflow; the agent still authors the story and explicit job, while the CLI executes it.

This release does not claim measured Instagram engagement, a blinded skill-vs-no-skill benchmark, a public plugin-directory submission, or execution support for every engine in the 100-entry source register. Publishing and advanced external editors remain reference integrations.

Video Forge v0.1.0 — initial baseline

Choose a tag to compare

@Sanidhya14321 Sanidhya14321 released this 19 Oct 07:21

Initial Video Forge baseline, published alongside the newer reel-focused release for traceable version history.

Eight shared skills, a local Remotion/FFmpeg runner, product demos, supplied-state algorithm explainers, captioned footage edits, optional local speech/transcription, mocked budget-gated cloud adapters, and a 100-entry evidence register.

This version's visuals favor title and interface cards. It does not contain the v0.2.0 abstract reel treatments or creative review/preview tools. Use the latest release for those features.

Includes Claude, Codex, standalone and source archives with SHA-256 checksums. Dependencies and model weights install separately. The repository MIT license does not replace dependency/model/media terms. No measured social engagement or native implementation of all 100 upstream entries is claimed.
