PiLyzer 3.1.0 — macOS Universal & WebUSB
PiLyzer for macOS is now available as a Universal app for Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 13 or later.
Download PiLyzer-3.1.0-macOS-universal.zip, unzip it, and move PiLyzer.app to Applications. The bundle is ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized. If macOS blocks its first launch, approve it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
Included
- Three-channel Pico 2 oscilloscope, spectrum analyser, eight-channel logic analyser and voltage meter.
- Channel selection changes the acquisition rate; timing follows the device's capabilities. Firmware 1.5 uses a 97-cycle ADC minimum (approximately 495 / 247 / 165 kSa/s per channel).
- Trigger-only low-pass filtering, vertical positioning, per-channel ranges and probe scaling, CSV export and a built-in demo.
- Existing two-channel firmware remains supported; three-channel capture and GPIO20 test output require firmware 1.5.
Repository and browser app
- PiLyzer Web connects directly through WebUSB in desktop Chrome or Edge. Demo needs no hardware. Disconnect the native app before connecting from the browser.
- PiLyzer native sources, firmware and KiCad schematics now live in Pico2.
- The original PCBScope / DPScope SE macOS app is restored independently under PCBScope.
Validation
- PiLyzer: 74 native tests passed; both arm64 and x86_64 release builds and bundle signature verified.
- Restored PCBScope: 39 tests and app build passed.
- Web: 18 protocol/acquisition/signal tests passed; browser demo checks cover scope, FFT, logic, meter and capture controls.
- Firmware host regressions passed. The release does not flash connected hardware.
- Additional real-device checks passed with firmware 1.5: native 3-channel capture/trigger/logic; Chrome WebUSB 3-channel capture, meter and logic. The deployed Web app also includes a USB-session reset fix, with 19 tests passing.
