## Abstract
QSSP v1.3 is the **complete, production-ready fusion** of [BIP 352 Silent Payments](https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0352.mediawiki) and **Quantum Safe Bitcoin (QSB)**.
It preserves the exact non-interactive “romantic halfway meeting” symmetry while delivering **full quantum-resistant spending** via RIPEMD-160 pre-image resistance.
**Key v1.3 compressions** (the reason this version exists):
- Scan base reduced from kilobytes to **exactly 32 bytes** (just the `master_puzzle_seed`).
- On-chain outputs reduced to standard **34-byte P2WSH** (same size and fee cost as normal Silent Payments or Taproot).
- No change to security, privacy, or quantum resistance.
- Works **today on mainnet** with zero consensus changes.
This is now the lightest, cheapest, and most adoptable quantum-resistant private payment scheme possible using only existing Bitcoin primitives.

- **True symmetry & privacy**: Reusable 32-byte scan base, one-time derived P2WSH outputs, full scan-only unlinkability (exactly like BIP 352).
- **Full post-quantum security**: No elliptic curves in the critical path. Spending inherits QSB’s RIPEMD-160 pre-image resistance (~2⁴⁶ GPU work / ~118-bit classical security).
- **Zero protocol changes**: Legacy Script inside standard P2WSH. Works on mainnet **today**.
- **Receiver solves puzzle only on spend** — scanning is now trivial.

## How It Works (High-Level)
1. Receiver publishes one static **QSSP scan base** (`qsbsp1` + bech32m of 32-byte `master_puzzle_seed`).
2. Sender (Alice) and Receiver (Bob) both compute identical parameters from:
- Public `outpoint_hash = SHA256(txid || vout)`
- The 32-byte `master_puzzle_seed`
3. Alice builds the full QSB redeem script (Lamport/HORS dummy signatures), wraps it in P2WSH, and pays.
4. Bob scans by recomputing the exact same 34-byte P2WSH scriptPubKey.
5. When Bob wants to spend, he reveals the redeem script + solves the instance-specific puzzle.
The “romantic halfway meeting” is preserved perfectly.

- Derivation is pure SHA-256 + HKDF (RFC 5869).
- Spending security rests entirely on QSB’s RIPEMD-160 pre-image resistance.
- Scanning cost is now negligible.
