Friends, profiles and more versions.

Friends: open the new Friends page, type a Minecraft name and send a request. You see when friends are in the launcher or in game. Both of you need to press Connect account in the launcher once.

More versions: pick More versions at the bottom of the version list on Home to make a profile for any Minecraft release from 1.19 on, Vanilla or Fabric. Fabric profiles get Fabric API added for you. VanillaX modules and cosmetics stay on 26.2.

Profiles: New profile works again, profiles can be deleted, Vanilla profiles no longer crash when you press Play, and there is an Open mods folder button on Browse and in Settings.

Live count: Home, the website and the Minecraft title screen show how many people are on VanillaX right now.

VanillaX 2.4.14

Pets on your shoulder.

Your pet can now sit on your left or right shoulder instead of following you. Press Right Shift, open the Options on the Pets card and pick Position: Follow me, Left shoulder or Right shoulder.

On a shoulder the pet sits at about half size and faces forward. Like vanilla parrots, you see it in third person (F5), not in first person.

Friends on servers with the VanillaXServer plugin see it on your shoulder too. They need VanillaX 2.4.14 or newer to see a shoulder pet.

VanillaX 2.4.13

Every module is finished: four new ones, 43 in total.

Inventory sorting: a Sort button on chests, barrels, shulker boxes and your own inventory. It merges half stacks, then orders them by name, amount or item id. It uses the same clicks you would make by hand, a few at a time.

Debug screen: restyles F3 with coloured keys, your own text and background colours, background opacity and text shadow.

Hitbox styling: pick the colour of the F3+B hitboxes, and hide or recolour the eye-height line and the look direction arrow.

Chunk cache: keeps chunks you have already loaded, so your view reaches past a server's short view distance. Off by default; switch it on in the module menu.

Render culling and Memory trimming are no longer listed as separate modules, because MoreCulling and FerriteCore in the performance package already do that job.

VanillaX 2.4.12

Pets you can actually see, a new Animations module, and three modules that now work on servers that allow them.

Pets: your own pet now shows in first person. Before this, you only saw it in third person. Stand still for a moment and it walks up in front of you, a little to the right; start moving and it follows behind again.

Animations (new module): change how your held item looks. Pick Classic swing, Low carry or Steady hand, set the item size and position, and turn off the dip when you switch items. Only you see this.

Server permission: Terrain map, Debug overlays and Visual tweaks are listed as Ask first by the server mod policy, so they used to be locked everywhere. They now switch on by themselves on servers that allow them through the VanillaXServer plugin. Everywhere else they stay off and show Server only on their card.

VanillaX 2.4.11

A new module menu, and purchases now unlock in game.

New module menu: Right Shift opens a card for every module, each with its own icon, an Options button and a big Enabled or Disabled switch. Filter by category or show only what is on, search, and save the modules you use as profiles in the sidebar. Right click a card for its settings.

Customize tab, free for everyone: pick a theme (Deepslate, Copper, Midnight or Glass), your accent colour, the on and off colours, card size and how dark the background gets. Prefer the old layout? Choose Classic panels.

Fix: cosmetics, pets and emotes you bought now unlock in game. The game was looking for your purchases in the wrong folder, so paid items stayed locked. Nothing you bought was lost.

VanillaX 2.4.10

Seven new pets, and the otter rebuilt.

• Red fox: pads along behind you and lies down for a nap when you stand still. 600 CoinsX.
• Capybara: sits down with an orange on its head when you rest. 500 CoinsX.
• Baby dragon: flies at your shoulder with its wings beating. Matches the Dragon wings. 1,200 CoinsX.
• Bee: buzzes in little loops next to your head. Free.
• Axolotls: pink is free, gold and cyan are 450 each, and the rare blue is 900. The Axolotl trio gets gold, cyan and blue for 1,400.
• Otter: rebuilt to look like an otter, and it now sits up when you stop for a while.

Walking pets rest after a few seconds of standing still, and sit down when you use the Sit emote. The Pets tab in the wardrobe now shows your pet next to you.

Fix: the paid Storm and Copperclad cosmetics now need to be owned before they can be worn in game.

VanillaX 2.4.9

Emotes are here. Hold B in game to open the emote wheel, then point at an emote and let go, or press 1 to 8. Wave, Bow and Sit are free. The Showtime pack adds Clap, Salute and Facepalm for 400 CoinsX, or 175 each. Moving, jumping or attacking stops an emote, and the camera switches to third person while you play one.

Friends see your emotes on servers that run the VanillaXServer plugin. On other servers only you see them, and the game tells you once.

Fixes:

• The otter now trots on the ground behind you and to your right. In 2.4.8 it floated upside down above your head.
• The otter's legs and eyes now show properly.
• The Copperclad set no longer offers itself again after you bought it.

VanillaX 2.4.8

Pets are here. The first one is an otter that trots along behind you and settles down when you stop. It's free, find it in the Locker under the new Pet slot.

New Copperclad set: a copper and deepslate cloak, circlet and wings. Buy them one by one, or all three together for 1800 CoinsX instead of 2050.

See each other properly. If your server runs the VanillaXServer plugin, you and your friends see each other's cosmetics right away, no account linking needed. On any other server it still works as long as you have linked your account.

Fixes:

• Resizing a HUD element now makes the text and icons bigger, not just the frame around them.
• Hats sit on your head instead of floating just above it.
• Wings no longer snap and freeze when you jump.
• Propeller caps no longer spin in sync when two people wear one.
• The installer icon now matches the website.

VanillaX 2.4.7

Mods you install from the Modrinth browser are now kept. Before, playing could delete your own Sodium, Lithium or Fabric API and replace it with our pinned version. Now anything listed as installed by you is left alone. Also fixed the build so the VanillaX mod is always bundled.
