Note: This guide is a work in progress. The setup has not yet been fully verified end-to-end. The information below gives a general outline — detailed step-by-step instructions will be added once tested. If you are setting this up now, contact scoutid@scouterna.se for assistance.
This guide covers connecting your scout group's Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) tenant to ScoutID, so that members can sign in using their Scoutnet credentials.
ScoutID connects to Microsoft 365 via OIDC federation through Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID. As with all ScoutID integrations, the Keycloak-side configuration is handled by Scouterna — you only need to configure the Microsoft side and send us the required information.
Send an email to scoutid@scouterna.se with the following:
- Your scout group name and group ID number
- Your Microsoft 365 domain (e.g.
malarscouterna.se) - A contact person (name and email)
ScoutID will configure the connection and provide you with what you need to complete the setup on the Microsoft side.
To automatically create and maintain Microsoft 365 accounts for your members, use Office365-Scoutnet-synk — a tool maintained by Scouterna that syncs members from Scoutnet to Microsoft 365.
