Duncan v0.15.6 — Windows preview

Duncan is now available as a Windows preview.

Install

Download Duncan-Windows-x64-setup.exe below and run the installer. Supports Windows 10 / 11 on 64-bit Intel and AMD PCs. Installs for the current user; internet access may be needed to install Microsoft WebView2.

This preview is unsigned. Windows may show an unknown-publisher or SmartScreen warning.

Included

• Local document library, document import, and keyword search.
• Read-only MCP connections to compatible AI tools.
• Import/export your library and browse imported transcripts.

Meaning search and native meeting recording are currently Mac-only. Native Windows ARM64 builds are not included.

Keep backups. Duncan does not encrypt its library. Connected AI tools and optional analysis providers can receive content you choose to share.

Verify the download

Run Get-FileHash .\Duncan-Windows-x64-setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256 in PowerShell and compare with the accompanying .sha256 file.

Duncan keeps your documents and knowledge in a local library, ready for compatible AI tools through MCP.

Install on Mac

Apple silicon (M1 or later), macOS 13 or later. Download Duncan-macOS-arm64.dmg, open it, and drag Duncan into Applications.

This is an early preview, ad-hoc signed and not Apple-notarized. After trying to open it, macOS may require approval under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Proceed only if you trust the download.

Begin with non-sensitive sample documents and keep backups. Duncan does not encrypt its library. Connected AI tools and optional analysis providers can receive content you choose to share. MCP access is read-only; hosted browser AI connections are not included.

Verify the installer with shasum -a 256 -c Duncan-macOS-arm64.dmg.sha256.
