koto 0.1.0
Copy a session to another agent. Keep the context.
- Added local Claude Desktop Code sessions, ordinary Cursor Desktop and CLI, WorkBuddy (China and international), and ZCode.
- Browse multiple session directories and recognized accounts. Choose the destination directory and, where supported, account when copying.
- Copy whole sessions or selected messages and attachments. Compare sessions with a tree and diff.
- Faster startup and progressive loading, with automatic index rebuilding when the format changes.
- Check and install updates from the App or CLI. Update checks include beta releases and never downgrade a newer installed version.
For conversational CLI use, the Agent must have terminal access and call koto. If it does not discover the command, ask it to run koto --help first. No Skill is required.
App and CLI are separate downloads for macOS, Windows, and Linux, on ARM64 and x64. macOS uses DMG; Windows uses a portable EXE; Linux provides a binary and DEB. SHA-256 checksums are in SHA256SUMS.
Install only the CLI:
curl -fsSL https://kotoai.site/install.sh | shWindows PowerShell:
irm https://kotoai.site/install.ps1 | iexmacOS packages are ad-hoc signed without notarization. Windows executables are unsigned and require WebView2. Linux requires GTK3 and WebKitGTK 4.1.
If a copied Code session is missing from Claude Desktop, restart the app to refresh its list. Existing local Cowork logs can be copied out; new Cowork tasks and cloud Chat history are not supported. On Windows ARM, use OpenCode 1.19.3's official x64 build; its ARM terminal interface does not start. Attachment handling and native-format limits are documented in Compatibility.

koto 0.1.0-beta.1
Switch agents. Keep talking.
Copy conversations or selected messages between agents. Compare sessions with a tree or diff. The bundled koto CLI lets your Agent copy the current conversation and return a continuation command, without a separate Skill.
This first beta includes the app and CLI for macOS (Apple silicon / Intel) and Linux (ARM64 / x86_64). Windows is not included.
Use the matching DMG on macOS. On compatible Debian/Ubuntu systems use the DEB; portable tar.gz packages are also available. Checksums are in SHA256SUMS.
macOS packages are ad-hoc signed, without Apple notarization. Linux requires glibc 2.36+, GTK3 and WebKitGTK 4.1.
