ReelRename v1.2.17

Choose a tag to compare

@artyomjanzen1 artyomjanzen1 released this 04 Apr 03:13

What's New in v1.2.17

Episode Numbering Fix

  • Improved episodic numbering when a season set contains a base file without -xx plus suffixed files.
  • Base file now maps to episode 1.
  • Suffixed peers are shifted in sequence so -01 follows as episode 2, then -02 as episode 3, etc.

Stability

  • Keeps existing TV/Anime folder organization behavior and TMDb integration.

Docs

  • Updated README.md install references to 1.2.17.

  • Keeps season files organized under proper show/season structure when processing in place.

ReelRename v1.2.15

Choose a tag to compare

@artyomjanzen1 artyomjanzen1 released this 04 Apr 02:42

What's New in v1.2.15

In-Place Foldering Improvements

  • Added in-place folder creation behavior for TV and Anime files, similar to movie foldering.
  • When files are not already inside a show folder, ReelRename now creates Show Name/Season XX and places the files there.
  • When an existing show folder is already present (for example with Season 01), new season downloads are routed into the same show folder under the correct season (Season 02, etc.).

Stability

  • Maintains previous in-place movie/anime-movie folder behavior and existing naming rules.

Docs

  • Updated README.md install references to 1.2.15.

@artyomjanzen1 artyomjanzen1 released this 04 Apr 02:31

TMDb Search Improvements

  • Added searchable popup result list to pick a specific TMDb match before applying.
  • Added TMDb code/ID lookup support in the same search box.

Media Naming / Organization

  • Added in-place movie foldering for Movie and Anime-Movie items.
    • If a file is not already inside its own title folder, ReelRename now creates the folder and places the file in it.

Metadata Application

  • Applying a selected TMDb search result now updates media title/year/type for selected rows (or all rows when none selected).
  • Manual TMDb overrides persist through rename refresh flow.

Docs

  • Updated README.md install references to 1.2.14.

ReelRename v1.2.13

@artyomjanzen1 artyomjanzen1 released this 04 Apr 01:55

What's New in v1.2.13

Fixes

  • Fixed movie naming bug where some movie files were incorrectly assigned Season/Episode values.
  • Updated preview generation so season/episode inference only runs for TV/Anime media types.
  • Cleared episodic fields for Movie/Anime-Movie rows to prevent names like (Season 01, 2016) for films.

Metadata / Naming

  • Keeps TMDb/filename-based movie names in proper movie format (Title (Year)), including for titles like Zootopia.

Docs

  • Updated README.md install references to 1.2.13.

ReelRename v1.2.12

Choose a tag to compare

@artyomjanzen1 artyomjanzen1 released this 04 Apr 01:45

What's New in v1.2.12

TV/TMDb Naming Fixes

  • Fixed episode numbering for packs where every file contains 'Episode 1' but files are suffixed like -01, -02, etc.
  • Added suffix-aware episode inference so previews now increment correctly (e.g., S01E01, S01E02, S01E03)
  • Normalized TV/Anime titles to remove season suffix noise (e.g., Show Name Season 1 -> Show Name)

UI/Preview Behavior

  • Improved rename preview consistency for TV/Anime metadata before TMDb episode title lookup.
  • Better handling for single-show season folder structures during name generation.

Docs

  • Updated README.md install references to 1.2.12.

ReelRename v1.2.11

Choose a tag to compare

@artyomjanzen1 artyomjanzen1 released this 01 Apr 17:34

What's New in v1.2.11

New Features

  • Manual media type override — set Movie / TV / Anime / Anime-Movie / Unknown per file via dropdown, overriding auto-detection
  • TV ↔ Anime cascade — changing a type for one episode updates all episodes from the same show automatically
  • Improved file ordering — base filename (e.g. ShowName.mkv) always sorts before episodic variants (ShowName-02.mkv)
  • Single show folder for multi-season downloads — all seasons now nest inside one show folder instead of creating separate folders per season

Tooling

  • Added \gen.backup.py\ — generates a timestamped source backup zip (supports --dry-run\ and --output-dir)
  • Added \pp.build.py\ — full build pipeline: bumps version, runs PyInstaller, compiles Inno Setup installer (supports --bump patch|minor|major, --version X.Y.Z, --dry-run)

Fixes

  • Fixed .gitignore\ (was accidentally storing Python script content instead of ignore rules)
  • Removed .vs/, \uild/, and _pycache_\ artifacts from repository tracking
