A modernized fork of sc0ty/subsync by Michał Szymaniak.
This release makes the per-subtitle (piecewise) sync mode introduced in 1.0.1 actually reliable, and puts its controls in your hands.
What's new in 1.0.2
- Piecewise sync no longer chases noise. Correlation points are individually noisy (a mismatched word can be off by a second), and the old warp retimed every line to the local median of a few of them — injecting a spurious sub-second wobble on top of the correct timing. It now anchors on the global linear fit and applies a local correction only where the nearby points are dense and significantly, consistently off that line (a real cut/ad-break/mid-file resync), shrinking everything else back to the line. On a real test file this cut the lines landing more than 0.5s off from 46% to 13%, while still following genuine resyncs.
- Tunable from the GUI. Settings → Synchronization now exposes Piecewise window (s), Piecewise min local points, and Piecewise significance (σ), each with an info tooltip. Higher significance stays closer to a plain linear sync; lower follows the points more eagerly.
- Piecewise in batch processing. The batch window has a new "Sync method" dropdown (Linear / Per-subtitle piecewise).
