SpeakNotification16 2.1.2

The new wired audio functionality is experimental and has not been tested with physical wired audio hardware.

Avoid enabling the broad fallback while connected to shared or public speakers if notification privacy matters.

When reporting a problem, open Add current audio device, press Copy Details, and include the copied diagnostics along with the device and iOS version.

Devices that do not provide a usable unique identifier cannot be permanently trusted. The optional broad fallback may allow notification speech through any detected wired or CarPlay audio route.

What’s new

• Adds Trusted Wired Audio Devices.
• Permanently trusted audio devices are matched using their audio port type and system UID.
• Adds an optional Allow Any Wired/Car Audio fallback for devices that cannot be uniquely identified.
• Adds a privacy warning before enabling the broad wired/CarPlay fallback.
• Adds audio-route diagnostics with Copy Details for testing and bug reports.
• Trusted Connections can now be satisfied by trusted Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or supported audio devices.

Experimental wired audio support

The new wired audio functionality is experimental and has not been tested with physical wired audio hardware.

Testing is needed with:

• wired headphones
• Lightning and USB-C audio adapters
• USB audio devices and DACs
• line-out devices
• docks
• HDMI and DisplayPort audio
• wired CarPlay
• other vehicle audio systems

Changes

• TrollStore-installed apps now appear in Installed apps.
• Replaced the strict applicationType == User requirement with safe validation of registered main app bundles.
• Removed KVC from app enumeration.
• Apple system apps remain restricted to the existing Apple whitelist.
• Extensions, placeholders, WatchKit apps, restricted apps, removed apps and launch-prohibited entries remain excluded.
• TrollStore apps use the same per-app settings and notification handling as other apps.

Tested

Verified on rootless iOS 16.1 with a TrollStore-installed app using local UNUserNotificationCenter notifications.
