Hardware KVM on SM-A515F / A515FXXU5EUJ4

This first release preserves the working Exynos 9611 experiment: the UH HVC gateway, kernel handoff/restore backend, fixed firmware VBAR forwarding, architectural timer IRQ fix, exact kernel config and recovery findings.

Verified on the handset

  • Android boot and normal reboot, root-only /dev/kvm, KVM API 12.
  • Real guest instructions through KVM_RUN, across all eight CPUs and 12 VM cycles.
  • The same vCPU across ten idle/migration runs.
  • VGICv2 virtual timer PPI27 on CPU0 and CPU4, before and after reboot.
  • Original signed UH restored through Download Mode, with partition hash verification.
  • The public source probes were rebuilt and the functional tests passed again.

Included

English/Russian READMEs, source patch and config, build scripts, guarded local UH/boot preparation, native guest/timer probe sources, synthetic QEMU tests, offline GitHub Actions and sanitized hardware evidence. Source archives are available below.

The attached gateway.bin, publisher.bin and marker.bin are generated fragments of our EL2 extension, with SHA-256 checksums and a manifest. They are not complete phone firmware images. Build the matching kernel and generate UH locally from your own audited original image using the repository instructions. Native probes build locally with make probes; Samsung partition dumps and personal ramdisks are not distributed.

Only SM-A515F / A515FXXU5EUJ4 was tested. Full guest operating systems, SMP guests, system suspend and sustained workloads remain future work. The QEMU CI harness is an offline test, not a handset boot test.

Start with the README, then read build instructions and installation/recovery. The latter explains why sending a full padded UH partition to Download Mode caused SECURE CHECK FAIL (UH) and how the canonical signed original restore was prepared.
