@Seuj09 Seuj09 released this 30 Sep 22:19

Experimental pre-release (not Latest) from experiment/brom-hello-diagnostics @ a6cb72df47a84a443dd261f7dd9dd5f94b5a682d.

Static arm32 (musl, ARMv7-A) build of spdhost and the vendored spd_dump, plus the menu. Includes the write / restore / repartition work from 8ea96d2 and the arm32 compile fix in a6cb72d.

What you can do

  • Menu [6] flash input/*.img, [7] restore a backup folder, [8] repartition from XML.
  • write-part, write-parts, write-parts-a, write-parts-b, repartition, set-active, pack-slot.
  • fixnv writes, 32-byte slot read, and set-active match spd_dump's slot bytes.
  • Unlock, verity-off, and FRP are listed and stay disabled. Nothing erases persist or splloader.

arm32 fix

Clang treats a missing fseeko / ftello prototype as an error. gcc used to only warn, and on arm32 that warning is a wrong 64-bit seek. Those calls are declared, file sizes stay in off_t, and the cross build links writecmd.c. The menu checks the exec stub before the plug-in wait.

Still true

  • A name that is not on the phone aborts a flash or restore before anything is sent.
  • splloader.img larger than 256 KiB is refused.
  • A broken fixnv image fails during the restore, after earlier partitions were written.
  • No w_force, no vbmeta flag clear, and runtimenv is written rather than erased.
