Bugdom 2 VR 4.0.1 beta 1 (Meta Quest / PICO)

First beta of Bugdom 2 for standalone VR headsets, running natively via OpenXR.

Tested: Meta Quest 3
Should work, untested: Quest 2 / Pro / 3S, PICO 4 / Neo 3

Install

1. Enable developer mode, connect the headset via USB
2. adb install -r Bugdom2-VR-4.0.1-beta1.apk
3. App Library -> Unknown Sources -> Bugdom 2

The first start takes a little longer (the game data is unpacked once).

Controls

• Left stick: walk · Right stick: snap turn
• Hold right stick click 1 s: recenter (forward + eye height)
• A jump · B pick up/drop · X / right trigger kick · Y launch buddy
• Left stick click: camera distance · Menu: pause
• Menus: left stick + A, B back, grips previous/next

What's in this beta

• Stereo 3D with head tracking, chase camera with level horizon, 30° snap turns
• Tunnel rides, balsa plane and level intros in VR
• HUD on a floating panel, info bars at the edges of your view
• Auto recenter on start + manual recenter
• Correct colors, compositor fades
• PICO controller support (untested)
