Packaging only — no source, API, or behaviour change; code built against 0.5.0 is unaffected. Windows now
also ships an MSVC build of the dev and CLI packages alongside the existing MinGW ones. Prompted by a
Microsoft Defender ML false positive (Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml) that flags MinGW-compiled, unsigned
binaries (including libplatemaker.dll itself); an MSVC build of the same sources is not flagged.
Changed
- Windows releases now publish both MinGW and MSVC packages. The release CI builds Windows twice
(dist-mingw-release+dist-msvc-release), so a consumer built with either toolchain can pull a
matching, ABI-compatible dev package (…-windows-msvc-…vs…-windows-mingw-…— the package config's
guard rejects a cross-toolchain link, and only checks MSVC-vs-MinGW, so the toolchains must stay in step).
The MSVC job is pinned to the VS 2022 runner because that is the compiler Qt 6.11 supports, so the
shipped MSVC lib links into the Qt GUI. Adist-msvc-debugpreset was added so MSVC has the same
debug/release dist coverage as MinGW.
