Install GCP CLI

Configure GCP CLI

gcloud init

Login to GCP

gcloud auth application-default login

Connect to VM Instance

gcloud compute ssh --project={project id} --zone={zone} {instance name}
gcloud compute ssh --zone "us-central1-a" "dig-instance-20250327-075510-large3-aiteam" --project "time-data-241616"

Get gcloud Configuration Lists

gcloud config configurations list

Activate a Particular Configuration

gcloud config configurations activate [CONFIG_NAME]

Create a New Configuration

gcloud config configurations create [NEW_CONFIG_NAME]

Set Configuration Properties

gcloud config set project [PROJECT_ID]
gcloud config set compute/region [REGION]
gcloud config set compute/zone [ZONE]
gcloud config set account <email>

Retrieve GCP Cloud Secrets

gcloud secrets versions access latest --secret=[SECRET NAME]

Copy a File from GCS to Local

gsutil cp gs://surrounding-stories-kg-processing-artifacts/development/seeding_run/v1.3/april_run_init_200k_pr278/entity_cache/graph_v1.3.pkl .

Copy a File from Local to GCS

gsutil cp batched_processing/dev_data_20250320_ap_stat_filtered.parquet "gs://surrounding-stories-kg-processing-artifacts/test_inputs/200kProcessing"

Copy a Local File to Compute Instance

Create Instance Without Public IP

Create Instance with Public IP
