v0.2.1 — Linode metadata detection fix
Pre-releaseVersion 0.2.1 fixes Linode/Akamai metadata detection by requesting application/json from /v1/instance. The metadata-token request is unchanged; the token is never retained in reports.
The benchmark workloads and pilot methodology are unchanged. Earlier reports retain their exact version and source identifiers. This remains a pilot prerelease; it does not establish 24-hour consistency or automatic metadata availability in every region.
The Shape.host platform accepts 0.2.1 reports through private intake. Reports require administrator review before publication; 0.1.0 and 0.2.0 remain accepted.
Validation: the Linode header/token regression, agent unit tests, deterministic package/checksum checks, immutable versioned-output checks, CLI dry-run/inspection, and the packaged executable's private idempotent API submission contract. No new provider benchmark results were produced for this patch.
Download the source archive or Python executable and its matching .sha256 file. Verify the archive checksum before extracting, then run sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS inside the extracted agent directory. Python 3.12 and Ubuntu 24.04 remain the target runtime.
Version 0.2.0 and all its existing assets remain unchanged.
