Image editor opens automatically after capture - how to disable?

After updating ShareX, the image editor window (image decoration window) opens automatically after every screenshot capture. Previously, screenshots were copied directly to clipboard without opening the editor.

I have checked the settings but cannot find the "capture after task" or option to disable this behavior. The settings structure seems to have changed after the update.

How can I disable the automatic opening of the image editor and make it copy directly to clipboard like before?

Running into the exact same issue. I did not change any settings for a while now so this is new.
I want to open the captured and saved screenshot with my default image viewer by clicking on the preview toast but thats no longer possible or I have yet to find the correct setting to revert back to this old behaviour.

Set your default app back to your image viewer of choice. I de-bloated my windows, which got rid of photos and noticed the default app for photos changed over to GIMP afterwards. After changing default image app to IrfanView, the image opens from ShareX to IrfanView now and doesn't launch GIMP (when clicking the preview in the corner).

Also check your "After Capture Tasks" and make sure "open in image editor" is not selected, if you don't want the program to auto-open after capturing. [ Selected options will be in bold ]

When clicking an image in the ShareX main window, it still uses its own internal image viewer. I don't know how to change this, but I don't need to, so I haven't tried.
