@ShawBob001 ShawBob001 released this 13 Aug 15:07

0.8.1 - 2026-08-13

  • Renamed the project and VS Code extension to Codex RouteSync, with the new ShawBob001.codex-routesync Marketplace identity and ShawBob001/codex-routesync GitHub repository.
  • Renamed VS Code contribution IDs and the offline package to codex-routesync-0.8.1.vsix while preserving existing codex-switchbridge.* settings and local token-usage state.
  • Added activation guards for both previous extension identities so two installations cannot write the same Codex authentication and provider files concurrently.
  • Updated English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, and German documentation, release instructions, and community links for the RouteSync identity.

@ShawBob001 ShawBob001 released this 13 Aug 13:42

0.8.0 - 2026-08-13

  • Moved the VS Code distribution to the new ShawBob001.codex-switchbridge-vscode Marketplace identity and renamed the offline package to codex-switchbridge-vscode-0.8.0.vsix.
  • Added an activation guard that asks users to disable or uninstall the previous Marketplace installation and reload VS Code before the replacement can manage Codex files.
  • Preserved local accounts, API providers, configuration, backups, shared history under CODEX_HOME, and existing codex-switchbridge.* settings across the move.
  • Documented the required migration of synced or cloud entries to Local storage. Extension-scoped globalState, SecretStorage, and previously stored per-route usage attribution do not transfer automatically between Marketplace identities.

  • Token details now include an accessible source doughnut chart, while history remains filterable by day, week, month, source, and date range.
  • Project documentation is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, and German.
  • Refreshed English and Chinese screenshots show the reset action and token chart.

Codex SwitchBridge 0.6.0 adds an official-inspired orange local-usage dashboard with daily, weekly, and monthly grouping, source/date filters, and bilingual controls.

Account quota requests now support a machine-only proxy setting, exact reset timestamps and available reset counts remain visible, cached fallbacks are explicit and redacted, and cross-window cache writes are serialized.

The usage chart is based on device-local Codex observations, not OpenAI billing data.

Codex SwitchBridge 0.2.0

This release refactors Codex SwitchBridge around one clear workflow: switch between saved Codex accounts and Responses-compatible API providers while keeping new local conversation history available in both modes.

Highlights

  • Shares one local Codex history identity across account mode and compatible API-provider mode by default.
  • Saves outgoing local or cloud credentials before applying the next account or provider.
  • Prevents cloud credentials from overwriting a same-named local Provider profile.
  • Re-reads synchronized entries before activation so rotated API keys and account tokens are not replaced by stale snapshots.
  • Treats reselecting the current account or Provider as a no-op, avoiding unnecessary reload recommendations.
  • Makes mode account restore the only saved account or request an explicit choice when several accounts exist.
  • Adds --separate-history for providers that need their own local history identity.
  • Rewrites the root, VS Code, CLI, and shared-history documentation around seamless switching and accurate history scope.

Verification

  • Core: 86 tests
  • CLI: 81 tests
  • VS Code: 251 tests
  • History migration: 11 tests
  • Dependency audit: 0 vulnerabilities

  • codex-switchbridge-cli-0.2.0.tgz: npm-compatible CLI package
  • codex-switchbridge-v0.2.0-SHA256SUMS: SHA-256 checksums

Shared history applies to one local CODEX_HOME and Responses-compatible providers. It does not copy ChatGPT web history, Codex Cloud tasks, or history between devices.

Disable or uninstall Codex Account Switch before enabling Codex SwitchBridge because both extensions write the same local Codex files.
