Implements both parts of Chapter 6 of nand2tetris, now allowing for variables @Xxx as well as labels (Xxx).

To Test it:

Option 1:

  • Make sure java is installed as a command line tool.
  • Extract the folder to your Downloads
  • Open Terminal
  • Run the following commands:
cd Downloads
cd HackCompiler/bin
java hackcompiler/Assembler ../sample/ExampleErrors.asm

Option 2:

  • Open the project in VSCode (or an IDE of your choice) and run the main method of Assembler.asm,
  • then copy and paste the run command and pass in a filename/path from the command line.
