Kids Game Environment

This Windows Forms application implements a collection of educational games for children following key user interface design principles from Advanced Programming.

Implementation of UI Design Principles

1. User Control

  • Each game provides clear controls for starting/restarting
  • Users can return to main menu at any time via the red return button
  • Games respond to both keyboard (maze) and mouse (matching, dragging) input

2. Task-Oriented Interface

  • Clear game objectives presented through title labels and instructions
  • Simple, focused interactions appropriate for children
  • Immediate visual feedback on actions (color changes, movement)

3. Logical Flow

  • Consistent navigation pattern across all games
  • Main menu -> Game -> Return to menu
  • Natural progression of game states (start -> play -> win)

  • Uniform button styles and layouts
  • Consistent color schemes (red for exit, green for success)
  • Standard font usage across all text elements
  • Aligned elements using TableLayoutPanel for grid layouts
